What could be state of the art in cyber security in ten to 15 years’ time? Our innovation and knowledge management finds answers: on the basis of the requirements of internal and external security, on the basis of monitoring national and international innovations and by means of trend, scenario and foresight analyses. The focus here is on identifying weak signals. On discontinuities that could develop into a micro, macro or megatrend in the future. The findings are incorporated as impulses into our three focus areas and their thematic fields, within which we commission research projects. They are also made available to the Federal Republic of Germany and its stakeholders.
