Cyberagentur launches expression of interest procedure for innovative data reconstruction research
The Agentur für Innovation in der Cybersicherheit GmbH (Cyberagentur) has published an expression of interest process to identify potential participants for a planned research program on innovative data reconstruction. The aim is to develop new approaches for dealing with communication challenges.
The Cyberagentur is calling for expressions of interest for a pioneering research program. The program “Basic research and development of data reconstruction capabilities after targeted data reduction in difficult communication environments” addresses key challenges of modern cyber security, especially in the context of image and sound information.
The aim of the project is to develop innovative technologies and procedures to significantly improve the quality of communication at low data transmission rates. The focus here is on safety-critical applications, for example in disaster areas or for specialized emergency services in poorly connected environments.
“With this research programme, we are laying the foundation for technological breakthroughs that could revolutionize data transmission,” emphasizes Dr.-Ing. André Müller, Research Officer at the Cyberagentur. “By competing for the best ideas, we want to create a platform for innovation and at the same time secure the basis for robust and future-proof communication.”
Interested organizations – from universities and research institutes to companies and start-ups – are invited to submit a maximum five-page outline of their ideas by 16 February 2025. The main purpose of the expression of interest is to gain an overview of the potential group of participants and their ideas for implementing the research.
The details of the expression of interest procedure are published on the TED/EU Tenders platform https://ted.europa.eu/ under the reference number 39171-2025.
