The Agentur für Innovation in der Cybersicherheit GmbH (Cyberagentur) strengthened its management level in the Scientific Service on October 1, 2024. Michael Domberg took over as the new head of the department, which acts as a central interface in the identification, planning and management of research programs.

The business IT graduate, who previously worked as the manager of a global development and operations team at SAP, can look back on an impressive career. In addition to his role as IT security manager at SAP and the DHL Group, he gained significant experience as an officer in the German Armed Forces, most recently in the Strategic Reconnaissance Command. In his role, he sees a central role in the further development of scientific expertise. He wants to play an active role in shaping the strategic development of the Cyberagentur.

“The opportunity to work at the interface between science and IT security was particularly appealing to me in this position,” explains Domberg. “The Cyberagentur offers unique opportunities to contribute to the security of society, business and government.”

In the first few weeks of his new role, Domberg has already taken steps to implement his ideas for his new role as head of department. In particular, he wants to further professionalize and standardize Cyberagentur’s processes and drive forward the promotion and development of employees. “The Cyberagentur is a young and dynamic organization that offers a lot of creative freedom. I would like to use this opportunity to support our scientific and research-related departments with the best cross-sectional services,” continued Michael Domberg.

In addition to his professional involvement in IT security, Michael Domberg appreciates the innovative environment with excellently trained scientists.
